In years 3 and 4, the greengrocers was open for business! Children learnt the names of ten fruits or vegetables and looked at how they might ask for ‘one kilo of…’ these items in a supermarket. Some children even made a price list for their own supermarché.
 
In years 5 and 6, Madame Pridmore’s pop up café was a great success. The children practised ordering food and drink items from a menu, learning new vocabulary (including restaurant etiquette such as asking for the bill!) to help them with this. Finally, the children thoroughly enjoyed designing their own menus for a French café. Thank you to Mrs. Pridmore for making this such an exciting event for the children.
