Year 5 were visited by Stevenage Sporting Futures on Wednesday for workshops educating them about how to help someone who may be in cardiac arrest. The children were talked through DR ABCD:   D-danger   R- response    A- airway   B-  breathing    C- CPR / circulation  D- defibrillator.     The children had a go at putting each other in the recovery position and then had a go at trying some CPR on some life-like dummies. There were lots of sore hands afterwards but what an amazing skill to learn. They then learnt about how defibrillators are used and how they can increase chances of survival from 10% to 70%!
