Year 5 trip - National Space Centre

As part of our science project in Year 5, we have organised a visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester on Wednesday 15th November, where we will explore six interactive galleries, the UK’s largest planetarium, and the iconic 42m high Rocket Tower, the award-winning National Space Centre is an out of this world experience.

So that the children gain the maximum benefit from the visit we will leave school at 8:30am and ask that your child is in school at 8.15am for a prompt 8:30am departure.

We will return to school at around 4:30pm so please ensure that your child is collected from school at that time. Children need to wear full school uniform and take a coat appropriate to the weather on the day.  Children should not bring their mobile phones on the trip.

Children will need to bring a packed lunch and a drink with them, no glass bottles or fizzy drinks please. If your child is entitled to free school meals and you wish to order one for that day, please do so at the office by Monday 6th November.

We do need to ask for a contribution of £25 per child to cover the cost of transport and entry fee. Please give your permission on School Gateway. We do appreciate that times are financially difficult for some families and balance this with parents expressing a keenness for children to go on school trips. If we do not receive enough voluntary contributions, we may have to cancel the trip.
