As part of our history lessons in Year 3, we have booked a visit to the North Herts Museum in Hitchin for Monday 5^th February 2024.

Whilst they are there they will be looking at iron age objects in the museum, trying on iron age clothes and rebuilding iron age pots. Then moving onto the Stone Age and Bronze Age, looking at hunting by bow and arrow and shelter building.

We will leave school at 9:30am and return before the end of the school day.

Children should wear their school uniform and bring a packed lunch and a drink with them (no glass bottles or fizzy drinks please). If your child is entitled to free school meals and you wish to order one for that day, please do so at the office by Thursday 1^st February.

We do need to ask for a contribution of £6.80 per child to cover the cost of transport and the workshop. Please give your permission on School Gateway. We do appreciate that times are financially difficult for some families and balance this with parents expressing a keenness for children to go on school trips. If we do not receive enough voluntary contributions, we may have to cancel the trip.
