20 of our Almond Hill children went to an Athletics event on Thursday. They were all amazing and competed in either a running, jumping or throwing event as well as a relay. Throughout the day, they showed great sportsmanship and were cheering each other on loudly (louder that other schools). Layla (Year 4) came 1^st and got a gold medal for her brilliant long jump and Kai (Year 4) got a bronze for his impressive Javelin throw. Hetty (Year 4) and the Year 4 relay team got into the finals and competed again in the afternoon. Hetty ran incredibly fast and came 1^st winning a gold medal! The Year 4 relay team also ran very quickly! Harry G (Year 5) and Arthur (Year 4) also won gold medals for their very impressive long distance races. Scores were combined and the Year 4 team came 3^rd overall and were all awarded another bronze medal! It was a fantastic day, and the children were extremely well behaved representing the school brilliantly. We are very proud of you all, well done!
