    Cricket

    Freddie plays village cricket for Reed and he has been put forward to do trials for county Cricket- young Antlers. He is doing amazing and trials have started so we will know in the summer if he has managed to get a place in the Herts County cricket team. Freddie has also been put forward for the Herts District Cricket team and he has 2 trials in November to see if he gets a place in the District team. Watch this space - Freddie's dream is to become a pro cricket player like Freddie Flintoff. Well done Freddie. We look forward to hearing how you get on!

    Swimming

     A BIG well done to Jupiter who swam his first swim gala on Saturday.  He had 5 races and got 2 holds, 1 silver and a Bronze medal. Congratulations!

    Netball

    Scarlett plays netball for Hitchin Netball Club. The club recently hosted their first tournament and Scarlett’s team, Hitchin Crystals, came 3rd in the Year 6 category. Scarlett played a combination of WD and C. Well done, Scarlett!

    Daisy in Year 4 competed in her first Triathlon in Hitchin and came in the top ten! Well done! 

    Adam in Year 5 has passed his Swim England Stage 4 and now moves onto Stage 5 light blue hat group. Well done, Adam!

    Annabel, Fiorella and Elizabeth took part in their first triathlon in Hitchin (100m swim, 2km cycle and 1km run). They had a lot of fun supporting each other, and were very proud to collect their medals at the finish.

    Elizabeth was also delighted to win in her age category.

    Zoë in Year 3 has received three gymnastics medals in a week! She achieved a Gold Medal in Level 3 gymnastics at Marriotts. On Saturday, she took part in her first ever gymnastics competition, performing in five events: beam, asymmetric bars, trampette, stacked mats and floor. She competed against 65 other children aged 7 to 9, and came second to take the silver medal! Here she is pictured with her medals (including a third one for being selected to compete). Well done and congratulations, Zoë!

    On Sunday 13th July, Archie graded for his black belt for Qi Kwando martial arts. Congratulations Archie!

    Freddie won 2 football tournaments he participated in during half term! Freddie is absolutely loving his football & making memories.

    Well done Freddie. 

    Daisy won a silver medal for tumble at her friendly SSAC competition. Congratulations, Daisy!

    Annabel took part in her first distance competition this weekend and swam an impressive 3,000m in less than 2 hours. This was her first one and we had no idea she could swim that far!

    Savannah performed in a show recently in front of about 300 people at Millfield Theatre.  Well done, Savannah. That is an amazing achievement! 

    Daisy has passed her level 7 at swimming! Well done, Daisy! 

    Well done to Oakley who got his yellow belt in karate and got the fighting spirit award on grading day.

    Daisy in Year 4won a Bronze medal for SSAC at a regional competition in MK.

    Well done, Daisy!

    Freddie played for Reed under 9s last year and done very well. He won a medal for his participation by not missing any matches and games. The main award was Freddie’s trophy for the Bowler of the Year. This award was for the best bowling figures over the year. Freddie took 26 wickets in 9 matches! Well done! 

    Amelia worked hard during The Pony Club Area 12 Tetrathalon Training day where she had specialist sessions on running, conditioning, swimming, shooting and psychology. During the swimming session, she achieved her competitive start award, which enables her to dive in off the blocks in completions.

    Freddie has had an exciting season of football! he was lucky enough to be invited into 6 academies across the season. Freddie has worked unbelievably hard. His determination, resilience and passion has paid off. Freddie has decided to sign for Stevenage F.C! What an incredible accomplishment. We are very proud of him.

    During the Easter half-term, Freddie and his team won the JP Pro tournament. They went unbeaten the whole day! What an amazing achievement!

    Lola played a netball match for her team, Stevenage Storms and was awarded coaches player of the match!

    Well done! 

    Well done to Aavya who moved to level 4 (green) in swimming.

    Freddie was so excited to be selected to play for Watford against Liverpool at the weekend. Being a Liverpool fan, this was a very special opportunity for him. Freddie's team won 3 out of the 4 games. He was brilliant! 

    Well done to Aashvi who moved to Green hat in swimming recently finally overcoming her fear of the deeper pool!

    Ava-Rose took part in the Jamfest Europe cheerleading competition in Telford with Crush Cheerleading! Well done Ava-Rose!

    Jupiter took part in the Stevenage swim club Turtles Gala, had 4 races and got 3 silvers and a bronze. Well done! 

    It's been a busy month for Clove who moved up to dark blue hats in swimming and got a distinction in her ISTD Tap exam!
