Stevenage Pupil Parliament

Last week, Lois and Arthur represented Almond Hill again at the Stevenage pupil parliament. They discussed improvements that our school have put in place for mental wellbeing since the last meeting (such as kindness ambassadors - everyone loved this idea!) and our plans that we are going to put in place for next year regarding sustainability.
Lois and Arthur were able to discuss what we have done eloquently and thought on their feet when they were asked extra questions. They were excellent representatives for Almond Hill and the mayor was very impressed!
If you are in Year 5 and think that this sounds interesting, then get preparing your school council election speech! School council representatives from Y6 attend pupil parliament so we will need 3 more enthusiastic, quick thinking and confident pupils to represent us next year! You will need to be happy to talk in front of lots of people and care about the issues discussed and making a difference to our school and helping other schools in Stevenage.
