Year 5 Science at Barclay
On Tuesday 14th July and Wednesday 15th July, Year 5 went on a science trip to Barclay Academy. The first task we had to do was try and spot the dangers in the science lab. Then we started our investigations. First, we layered the following liquids in a test tube: golden syrup, detergent, water with food colouring, sunflower oil and baby oil. Then we put in a marble chip, mung bean, polystyrene ball and more to see where they ended up. We also did a rainbow fizz where we mixed a red liquid with some acid, then added it to another liquid and poured it in slowly. It made a rainbow!
