Some of our Year 3 children took part in the Herts for Learning maths challenge a couple of weeks ago. They had to compete against many other schools from the Hertfordshire area. The team worked so well together and completely aced the first round heats, finishing in the top 20. This is something that no team at Almond Hill has done before! We graciously accepted our place in the Grand Final. The children had to solve a range of maths questions, testing their ability to apply their maths knowledge to a range of question types. There was a great sense of teamwork as they listened to each other and reasoned their answers. Although we didn't win the competition, we all had a fantastic time taking part and enjoyed the challenge. We look forward to competing next year!
